What’s Hydroforce

Hydroforce is a rehydration tablet for use in an oral solution. The highly soluble effervescent Hydroforce tablet rapidly dissolves in 1 litre of water (37°C) to produce an oral rehydration solution for the replacement of lost electrolytes and water.
Hydroforce provides an ideal balance of electrolytes and energy, support physiological digestion in animals that are dehydrated and is also particularly suitable in times of stress such as after weaning or after transport.

Specially developed for use in young animals.

WHY CHOOSE HYDROFORCE

Hydroforce is the ideal solution to correct dehydration, for the replacement the lost electrolytes and water and to bring alkalizing agents, especially in case of risk of, during periods of, or recovery from digestive disturbance (diarrhoea).

RICH IN ENERGY

Hydroforce is a rehydrating solution rich in energy because it is rich in lactose. The goal is to have an energy-rich solution without increasing the osmotic pressure. Once digested, lactose delivers glucose and galactose into the intestinal lumen.Lactose promotes the maintenance of lactase at the level of the brush border of the intestinal villi.

HIGH CONCENTRATION OF SODIUM

The high sodium concentration (120 mmol/L) makes it a solution that very effectively restores the volume of extracellular fluid.

HIGH CONCENTRATION OF ALKALIZING AGENTS

Hydroforce is one of the rehydrating solutions that contains the highest concentration of alkalizing agents (80 mEq/L). Represented by bicarbonate and citrate.

HIGHLY SOLUBLE

Hydroforce tablet rapidly dissolves in water at 37°C.

Each Hydroforce tab is packed in a single capsule that keeps the characteristics of product unaltered for longer. High technologies and production methods combined with its Aluminium capsule gives a product a shelf life of 3 years.

QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION

Each tablet contains:

Active substance:

– Sodium chloride
– Potassium chloride
– Sodium Bicarbonate
– Anhydrous citric acid
– Lactose monohydrate
– Glycine

When one Hydroforce tablet is dissolved in 1 litre of water, the resulting isotonic oral rehydration solution has the following composition:

Constituent (mmol/l):

– Sodium 120
– Potassium 15
– Chloride 55
– Bicarbonate + citrate 80*
– Lactose 90**
– Glycine 30

* Total alkali expressed as bicarbonate equivalents
** 90 mmol lactose is equivalent to 180 mmol glucose
